"Stayed for two nights. This is an older motel, but it was clean. Quiet enough, and comfortable mattresses. Did not try out the continental breakfast, so cannot comment on that."

"The room was clean & nice for an older motel. We felt the lighting was dim in the room as we were gone most of the time & only there at night. The towels were thin & rough but absorbent enough. Our room had some little black ants, but we didn't tell the front desk. Like I said we were only there at night & it was usually after the front desk was closed. Spa area was closed due to broken hot tub & looked like it had been for a while. All in all it was a pleasant stay. It is a little over 2 miles away from Fisherman's Wharf. "

"We only stayed in Monterey one night and the Red Roof Inn ensured a very pleasant stay. I was a bit hesitant given how in expensive it was but there is nothing bad I can say about the Red Roof Inn. Rooms were clean, spacious and well designed, the staff were friendly and helpful and a continental breakfast was included. It is located a few miles from the Aquarium and the Wharf which probably doesn't make it ideal if you don't have a car but you won't find anything better for the same price. There is a very nice Steakhouse just down the road. All in all a very enjoyable stay, I would definitely recommend this to anyone!"
